Assembly required,
1. Place the base on the floor push shock into the base
2. Screw the foot rest on to the seat, be sure not to cross thread it
3. Slide the seat down over the shock
Once assembled sit on it slowly and use the lever to lower or raise the seat, sometimes it might take a few goes to get the lever to line up with the strut

Footrest is for resting feet while sitting, NOT to take body weight or for kids to climb or stand on.
